Meshing Meshing Meshing...

So in this post, I uploaded a replacement edit of the maxis Long Loose mesh. I just removed the dangle but I was really proud that I managed to successfully make a mesh edit! It was like something just clicked for me.

I spent the rest of the day fiddling around in milkshape, learning stuff and I realized I can finally fulfill my dream of doing Transgender bodyshapes but for the other gender (FTM for male sims, MTF for female sims) and I'm super excited to start this project! I will keep it off tumblr, though, to avoid a repeat of last year. And I might just keep it to historical/fantasy games and if I post it outside of my dreamwidth, it'd be on the keep where I know they'd be more respectful :)

I'm actually even getting somewhere with it- Right now I am working on the FTM mesh. I'm on testosterone (I think maybe for like, a year now?) so I figured it'd be easy for me to figure out how to make it look. I plan on maybe doing two versions, one with top and one without. I think when I make showerproof skins, the non-top/non-flat version will be the one it links too because I want to use these in my medieval game and I don't really think top surgery was a thing back then haha!

I'll have to ask my trans girl friends for tips on making the MTF version but it'll come soon too :)

Hi, I'm alive. Kind of. Going through some severe depression and issues, but I'm trying to ease myself back into simming because it brings me a lot joy. It's always on my mind but it's hard to feel motivated to do, well, literally anything.

But I thought I'd make this post for some mod ideas I wanna do/learn how to do. Not sure how possible any of it it really is but I thought I'd make this post anyway to see if anyone else is interested in these ideas.

Drow Project: Defaults and Genetics

This is a kind of wip post that I'll edit along, it's mostly for my own reference and if anyone is interested in my drow project, aka my mission to make my sims game entirely made of my homebrew drow.

If you are interested in my drow project/world building, here's a very messy list of notes I compiled!

First up is hair

I struggled to decide if brown should be grey or white, but I just went with this since white is the most common.

Eyes go as follow (Pic will follow soon when it's 1 am!)

Dominant colors: Red, Golds, Oranges
Recessive colors: Pink, Purple, Blue (ultra rare)

Currently working on the skinsets but obviously they'll all be drow toned, varying in lightness. Probably won't have a too varied colors/wide spectrum.

Since my drow will all kinda look alike, I want to mess with bodyshapes more to help with diveristy. Here are my planned shapes. I don't wanna just any because I want some that will fit the elven look. If you have suggestions feel free to share!

Lots Of Stuff

A bunch of pictures from my tumblr and some stuff I've been working on.

Some dresses I made today... Had some fun with them, I feel like I learned some new stuff. I know a dress like this exists but I mostly wanted to practice.

And some Roamer stuff. I realized that back in Roamer's Road post, I forget to recolor the shutters. Idk why I forgot, haha. But I'll update that at some point and release some Roamer Red(tm) colors. It's become quite a project for me, to make a bunch of Roamer themed things that fit into the Blue Rose world.

And then...

A vata-an! I was considering using Vata as a replacement for faeries/aliens but I decided against it. I'll leave that for actual half-fae, which I'm pretty sure exist in the canon.

Hi! I'm Ronan! I'm a twenty something nerdd who likes the sims a whooole lot!
Policy:
- Feel free to recolor, pull apart, etc as long as you credit and link back. I spend hours on the clothes I make, and hand paint most of the textures, so just a little of acknowledgement is very nice. Don't claim as your own, etc

- No paysites, no patreon, no donation gifts, no TSR, please. Keep it all free, as it is intended.

- Don't convert or use my textures for anything outside of The Sims 2.

- You can reupload if my link is down but otherwise i'd appreciate a link back. Feel free to include my meshes but link back in case there are any updates :)

I've been feeling the urge to create but I have nooo idea what To make. I made a skin blend and then I tried to make some clothes... so I made this gambeson. I'm not sure if it will get much use in my game, though, since I kinda want my game to be more brozne-age aha.

But it looks nice, I suppose. I'm not sure if anyone will really want to use it, though. There's tons of stuff out there already and I'm so amateur.

Anyone have any ideas for what I could try to make? I really want to improve.

Messing around and made a "maxis match" skin blend or something, though I'm not sure if the base was explicitly maxis match. Either way I like how it came out. I'm going to recolor it with AlfredAskew's actions, though I was thinking maybe I should do more "maxis" tones. But ehhhhhh, I think I prefer more realistic tones then to Orange.

My main peeve for skins is when they're too "pretty" without make up. Sometimes you want your sims to look like normal people :p
