illenlanQuick post here for future reference, I wanted to create my fairy world in the sims :D Here's some rambling about it, if anyone cares for world building ^w^
The world was called Lyric, and it was a sort of between world between the human world and the fairy world but at some point in it’s history it became cut off from both sides- surrounded by a wall of red mist. The ‘humans’ there, were like half-fae elf-y people of the four elements (Fire, water, air, earth)
Magic came from spell dust, which just kind of fell from the sky or could be harvested from nature if you knew what you were doing. The precursor beings, The True Fae, took care of the humans but vanished around the time Lyric was cut off/isolated. They’re either worshiped or hated for their abandonment. The true fae were like, giants though. like super tall/big beings and their castles/houses are now massive ruins that the humans built their cities in and take refuge in.
Also there are Moon people (Lunars) that fill the trope of the Strange Elven Beings in a world where everyone’s a lil elfy. They’re pale, tall, and very strange and ethereal.
The general shape of the world was like… very fairytale/storybook. The sky was a purple-pink color, there was glittery dust everywhere, and lots of stuff was oversized, makeshift, and kind of weird! I remember one place being a maaaassive flower with the giant petals that fell from it being made into little cities and towns. And it always rained spell dust there, making it a wizard’s town.
Anyway sorry for that rambling! I don’t usually share my world building that much but I wanted to get it out and warn everyone there might be an influx of hard fantasy content coming soon XD
